In most electronic designs, it is always necessary to introduce MICROCONTROLLERS. These are evolved devices of the MICROPROCESSOR and used mostly in EMBEDDED systems, for specific digital control applications. Of any speed, number of inputs, number of outputs, internal counters, etc., apogeeLAB can interact 360° with these devices, programming them according to the characteristics of the project and according to the customer’s needs. It is possible to integrate beyond that, touch screen displays, in color, with HMI technology of various formats, from 2.4″ inch to 10″ inch.
Microcontroller & Software
One of the latest projects of the firm, was to implement a machine vision system for flexographic printers for the pharmaceutical sector. The need of the client, describes the problem that the operator has in evaluating the quality of the printing graphics, considering that the latter is printed with a variable and selectable speed, between 30 and 50m/min. A high speed, which the human eye is unable to evaluate especially if we are talking about characters or images.
apogeeLAB then creates an EMBEDDED system, a machine vision system complete with a 10-inch color touch screen with fully customized graphics. The system involves the use of a strobe light that could be driven, varying the number of flashes and the intensity of the light, by potentiometer or directly from the HMI panel. The software, provides for automatic and real-time viewing via a high-resolution camera, showing print characters at a reduced speed of 90 percent. Listed below are the features of the system:
