apogeeLAB, research and development of SIGNAL cables totally handmade, 100% made in Italy. Below, some of these are described.

  • Signal cable with pure SILVER 925 conductors and graphite insulation

    With a section properly designed to significantly reduce the resistance of the cable itself, the cable is wired with RCA male cable connectors of excellent quality. Each conductor is wired with solid silver cables, drawn with a suitable section, mixed with other noble metals to ensure an adequate bending. This is to avoid the classic undesired effect that silver can give to a Hi-Fi system. To avoid that the listening audio “dries up”, the mix in question solves the above mentioned problems. The cables are supplied with a length of 1,5 meters (DX + RX signal). A certificate of authenticity of the precious metal is available on request. It is not possible, however, to have cable lengths longer than those described. The cable is built with BALANCED connection, that is, the signal is routed by the same conductor (in this case 2 conductors, signal + and GND). The whole is wrapped in a graphite shield, which in turn is connected only on one side of the RCA connectors. The source side will be highlighted by a coloured circle, which will show the right connection. Then connect the latter to the system, making reference that, the aforementioned reference must be connected where the source of the audio signal “exists”.

  • Signal cable with OFC copper conductors, KAPTON insulation and GRAPHITE

    Always looking for quality cables with excellent insulation, apogeeLAB develops an OFC copper signal cable with KAPTON insulation. KAPTON insulation is nothing more than a polyimide film that remains stable over a wide temperature range from -269 °C to +400 °C.
    The cables are supplied with a length of about 2 meters (DX + RX signal). . The cable is constructed with BALANCED connection, that is, the signal is routed by the same conductor (in this case 2 conductors, signal + and GND). The shield that acts as a shield on the whole conductor, is connected only on one side of the RCA connectors. The source side will be highlighted by a coloured circle, which will show the right connection. Then connect the latter to the system, making reference that, the aforementioned reference must be connected where the source of the audio signal “exists”.

  • Signal cable with COPPER LITZ wire conductors and graphite insulation

    An excellent experiment with an excellent yield, were these types of cables, where the conductor is the LITZ wire. The latter is a type of cable used in electronics to carry alternating current The wire is designed to reduce losses caused by the skin effect and proximity effect in conductors used at frequencies up to about 1 MHz. It consists of many strands of thin wires, individually insulated and twisted or twisted together, following one of several carefully prescribed patterns often involving several levels (groups of twisted wires are in turn twisted together, etc.). The result of these winding patterns is to equalize the proportion of the overall length along which each strand is outside the conductor, an effect not achieved with a simple twisted stranded wire.
